Here are a group of graduate interaction design students at CMU testing them out for us, in Bruce Hannington’s Research Methods Class and the wonderful Laurene Vaughan.
“In the late Noughties as Nokia’s portfolio was getting more and more fragmented, I brought in Nick & Gill to help evolve Nokia’s Design DNA. The work articulated the organising principles for a coherent and distinctive portfolio, helping to define the design identity for the next generation of Nokia products. The Design DNA approach, summarised by more simplicity and uncompromised craftsmanship, nurtured new products such as Meego OS, Asha and Lumia range of devices. Much more importantly, the thought leadership that Nick and Gill provided influenced the emergence of a new brand led culture within Nokia Design studios. I have been inspired by them ever since”
